Dr Shibani Sahni is a Harvard University trained dental educator and faculty who is teaching in many countries, United States of America, Australia, India, Greece, and many others. She is a global leader in impacting dental education and changing the future of dentistry with evidence-based curriculum and pedagogy for the last 24 years.
Dr Sahni works closely with Universities in Unites States, India and Australia. She is the founder of AADE, AADE and GADE and is impacting the future generation of dentists by incorporating new technologies, curriculum, and AI to achieve precision in dentistry and improve patient care. She was A/Professor of Comprehensive Care and the Director of CE/Center of Lifelong Learning and Distance Education at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine for many years where she also founded the global academy of dental education and the executive academy of dental education. She has done her master’s in dental education from Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) and her postgraduate in Restorative dentistry from Adelaide Dental School in Australia. She is an alum of Harvard Macy and has done Innovation in Healthcare and Education Program for Leading Innovations in Health Care and Education and Health Care education transforming the teaching for the digital age from Harvard Medical school. She is a thought leader and has advanced her own education by also training in Leadership by Design from MIT Sloan Executive Education. She holds certificate in Leadership and management from MIT Sloan School. Dr Sahni is a lifelong learner herself and has achieved certification in career advancement and Leadership skills for women in Healthcare from Harvard Medical School and is a trained in Leadership Strategies for Evolving Health care Executives from Harvard Chan School.
Dr. Sahni is a dedicated and passionate faculty, dentist and educator, she was a full-time faculty at Harvard School of Dental Medicine where she led for the Scholar’s in Dental education program for the DMD students who are interested in perusing their carrier in Dental Education and academic dentistry. She was involved in both the MMSc program as a mentor and faculty, and in the predoctoral DMD program as a clinical educator and course Director of Diagnosis and Treatment Planning course at HSDM.
She has also been full-time faculty at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where she has had many administrative leadership roles,
She had started the Global academy at TUSDM for the global outreach and spread evidence based and well researched dental education Internationally. She took robust programming to Asia pacific and Europe, thus training the world’s dentists. She also started the executive academy to help dentists and academic leaders achieve soft skills for their success.
She established mini and maxi residencies, along with short courses and Symposiums and many global programs in countries like Australia, Greece, India, France, Germany, Switzerland, and Mexico to name a few.
She was also the founder and Director of the Tufts Global Implant Symposium and thus updating the advances in implant dentistry to our peers.
She has also been recognized for my work nationally and internationally for the new and novel approach to teaching and learning where she created courses on AI and its currents trends in dentistry and future direction and have been invited for speaking about AI and its clinical applications to Germany and India. Dr Sahni is a keynote speaker and has spoken at national meetings like ADEA about the approach and methodologies used behind the programing. She is invited for many years by Greater New York Dental Congress not give an update on AI and advances in dentistry and has presented the changes that AI is bringing to Health care and dentistry to improve patient care.
Dr Shibani Sahni is very well published and has her articles peer review journals like JDE about the programs launched and international summits directed by her. She has also been the director of diagnosis and treatment planning for the residents in public health.
Dr Sahni is an extremely talented and accomplished dentist with over 24 years of experience in the dental field. She has had extensive experience in various areas of dentistry, including dental process improvements, dental procedures’ advancement, and quality assurance programs. As owner of her own practice, she has also had experience with business operations and strategies. She is also a fellow at American Academy of Dental Sciences (FAADS). Fellow at International College of Dentists(FICD) and fellow of American College of Dentists( FACD). Dr. Sahni has made a great impact to dentistry, dental education, and industry in the last 24years in the fields of business management, technology development, research, and academics. She continues to make a difference locally, nationally, and internationally and is collaborating with countries, specialists, and industry leaders across the globe for the constant improvement of the profession in benefit of patient care. Dr Sahni is looking into the future and is helping create educational programs to understand the use of Artificial Intelligence and digitalization in Dentistry, its current trends, use and its future direction.
